Not long ago someone told me « You know Stephane, here we indulge in secret luxury. »

That was a wonderful compliment and had me thinking why is staying at Dar Ayniwen such a particular experience for some of our guests.

I started to ask question around and got the same answer from almost everyone.

« This garden is magical ». Of course the hotel is nice, suites are unique and service is up to luxury standards but the garden is so peaceful that this is rare.

After this talk I decided that I had to start this blog with a few of my own pictures of the garden.

Last year , this comment was wrote on www.Tripadvisor.com about the property.

« Staying at the Dar Ayniwen is like living an exotic poem. I generally have little time for words such as ‘healing’ or ‘magical’ but they do apply to this unique oasis. The sheer beauty and care of the grounds, the richness and uniqueness of the rooms and buildings, the warmth and dignity of the staff, the kindness of our host Stephane and his wife and an excellent kitchen all came together to provide a most singular holiday experience. My wife and I spent a week at Dar Ayniwen and even on the last day we were still saying ‘Wow’.
We have travelled extensively – some 80 countries – stayed in tents in the wilderness to genuine palaces and far too many non-descript hotel rooms. None have provided the pleasure and rejuvenation of staying at the Dar Ayniwen.

Happy mom of four, Ghislaine Sahli-Sarnefors is always in search for original dresses and ideas to embellish life… Architect by training, this very creative young woman decides one day to seize a pencil and to draw herself the fashion about which she dreams to see worn by her children. Alrazal, a claw is then born which dresses the youngest for all the special occasions of the life: bridal, weddings, anniversaries …

Ghislaine imagines full collections, which are brought to her workshop, where embroiderers and tailors realize models intended for the princesses and princes of the day. Her workshop works precious and original fabrics to perfection.

Her inspiration is drawn naturally from her life, but also from her journeys, her passion for the Asian culture, her love for Africa. Models of saris and dresses are added to the miniature kaftans, sarouels, tunics … An original clothing line in her crunchy » moroccan touch « .

Her shops of Casablanca and Marrakesh propose amazing original models as well as unique tailoring services. Alrazal creates clothes for the daily life, intended for the children from 1 month to 12 years, as well as kaftans for the adults.

Born and raised in Marrakech I have always know the Mamounia hotel. It was a mythical place, who from the rich and famous have not been to the Mamounia hotel? For us teenagers, It was like a dream to see the stars wander around the pool, play a game of black jack at the casino or sip a drink at the Jazz bar… it always was the place to be if you wanted to visit Marrakech in style.

To my taste, it is even better today, but look at this package, it will leave you dreaming … unless you can actually afford it !
